School Clothes

Benny chose his school clothes today.  An outfit with a bit of Spiderman accessorized with Transformer.

He was happy with his choice!  (Don't worry - he wore the costume to Mary's house and regular clothes to school!)

Signs of Spring?

A few signs of Spring in the Snow household:

Benjamin and George studying one of George's many baseball fantasy teams!

Apparently they are happy with the line up!  George did say he had the "best fantasy team ever!"

Yummy - Mixed grill from the Freetown Yankee Market in Raymond.  (How do they get that chicken so tender?)

Bike riding...

We could not find Benny's bike helmet so a batting helmet did the trick!

Grilling in the lovely "Spring" weather - it snowed that day!

Keeping my husband company.  What a good wife I am.   (Note glass of white wine.)

The kids enjoying ice cream cones!

Catching Up...

It has been a while since I have posted.  It may be a slow month for the Snow Family blog!

We have been keeping busy.  A couple of weeks ago Benny wanted to try a 1,000 piece puzzle.  I told him I did not think this was a good idea but he insisted.  The boys surprised me and worked on the puzzle for 5 - 6 days.  They finally gave up once they found that our dog Ripley ate a few pieces.  They had more patience for that puzzle than I would have!

Way too many pieces for me!

The boys and the puzzle!

Last week George and I went out for dinner on Tuesday night.  It was such a treat!  George arranged for Uncle Colin to watch the boys at his place in Manchester.  George and I then headed out to the Strange Brew Tavern.  It is a great place - good food and lot's of good beer.  Tuesday night is $2 pints and half-price appetizers.  What a deal!  While we were enjoying the delicious food - try the Crab and Artichoke dip - Uncle Colin and the boys were having fun at the Manchester Super Buffet.  Apparently Jacob loaded up and had three plates of food!

We have also been eating well at home.  I have been trying out some new recipes and fortunately they have been very good.  My favorites so far have been:  Chicken and Corn Chowder, Dijon Mustard Chicken Fricassee, Buttermilk Oven Fried Chicken, and this great French Beef Stew.

The warm weather has been a nice change of pace.  We are making good use of the driveway as we wait for the rest of the snow to melt.  Benny likes to play frisbee now.  He has a mean throw.  He is getting pretty good at catching the frisbee too - he only got hit once on the lip and once on the head so far!  We have also pulled out the baseball bat and gloves.  I decided that I need to get into the action too and have been trying to hit line drives to the boys so they can practice fielding.  It is good that I can laugh at myself.  My father will tell you that I throw like a girl as well!

Museum of Science

On Friday of school vacation week we headed down to the Museum of Science.  The museum is featuring a special exhibit on Frogs. And anyone who knows the Snow family knows that we love frogs (most other amphibians too!).  A trip to the Museum of Science is not complete without lunch at the Boston Beerworks - so we went there too!

The three amigos playing video games on the ride down.

The stoic driver - focus George, focus!

Brendan, Jacob and Bears!  Oh my!  (Ben is there too!)

Ben and the "Star Wars" shocking device.

The tornado!

A cool green frog.

A poisonous dart frog - only poisonous if they eat special insects and leaves.  We want to get one as a pet.

Making our way over to the Beerworks...

Watching the fun.

Lunch and a couple of beers - how nice!
