Trick-or-Treat

It was a cold and windy night for Trick-or-Treating but we did our best. The Lewis Family joined us and our boys had fun with their boys.

Here are some pictures of the crowd before we headed out:

Jacob with the red mask, Gavyn as the spooky skeleton and Ben as the clone trooper. And the cute Mickey Mouse is Amari. I am the scary lady in the doorway!

Happy Halloween!

We carved our pumpkins tonight. George did a great Steelers design. The boys did a nice job with their pumpkins and did not injure themselves. And I got out the power tools, drilled some holes in my pumpkin and then pushed some Christmas lights through the holes. It looks pretty good!

Jacob and Ben working hard.

I had to focus so I did not injure myself with the knife!

The "Christmas" light and Steelers pumpkins.

Jacob's one with the great face.

Ben Vs. Food

Ben enjoys the TV show Man vs. Food. We treated ourselves to dinner out this week after Benny's flag football game was cancelled due to rain. Here is Benny's best Man vs. Food victory pose after polishing off a plate of nachos at Libby's Bar and Grill.

See how he can make the "M" for man!

Colonial Clash!

Guest blogger George here once again to update the world on the Colonial Clash, featuring the UNH football team battling UMass at Gillette Stadium. The Snow family got together with the Shipman clan to enjoy some pre-game fun and watch this historic battle (announced crowd of over 30,000, largest ever for a league game).

Me and my good friend Shipman enjoying a pre-game beverage....

The ladies were in the pre-game spirit as well.....

...and Shipman and Maura enjoyed some schmoopie time!

Here you see Jacob and Ben enjoying our club level seating. Nothing but the best when the Snows and Shipmans get together!

Ben, enjoying the game in his own style....

The boys are happy after yet another UNH score!

Blowout! The UMass fans started streaming out in the 3rd quarter.

After game photo op in the clubhouse after the game.....a great time. Anyone want to join us next year?

My Little Football Player

Benny is playing football this fall. He signed up for tackle football but decided after one week and 6 hours of practice that it was too difficult for him. He is now playing flag football and that is a better match for him this year. Here are some pictures from practice:

Waving hi to Mom!

Practicing his pocket.

Benny at quarterback - calling his cadence to hike the ball.

Benny being Ben -not sure what he was doing here.

After a successful pass - I am too slow with the camera!

New Blogs in Town

There are two new blogs in town:

Jacob and his First Lego League team have started a blog as part of this year's challenge. You can read all about Team Proteus at: Team Proteus. Jacob is the current "blog master" so that is fun for us!

The other new blog is my dear friend Laura's blog. My friend Laura, who I have known for over 20 years, has a small interior design business. She recently started a blog to showcase her work and some of her projects. Laura has some great ideas and her blog is really well done and fun! Check it out at Finding Home.

A Taste of Fall

My father has been enjoying these local, homemade sodas from Newfields, NH. This family owned business, The Squamscot Bottling Company, has been making soda for over a hundred years. He tried a new flavor recently - Maple Cream. I tried one and it was way too sweet - like drinking a pancake. Jacob enjoyed it though.

Doubling-fisting those drinks!

A close up of the pancake in a bottle!
