More Christmas Fun!

We had my family over for some more Christmas fun on Sunday.  We had not gotten a chance to see Rick and Michele on Christmas or Christmas Eve so we had a third day of celebrating!  We had more gifts to open, hamster tours, cookie baking and tea parties!  Here are some pictures from the day:

Benny offered tours to see his new hamster "Nacho".

Legos are always a big hit here!

The girls in their new baking outfits!

More presents related to alcohol.  Should I be worried?

The cookie crew.  Oh, that dough was sticky!

Pick your shape!

Flour, flour everywhere!

Ben completed construction!

Tea party fun.

Ready to be decorated.

Cookies are fun!

You can never have too many sprinkles!

Christmas Day

We had a great Christmas!  Jacob said he was up at 3:00 am on Christmas morning but followed our rules and stayed in his room until 6:00.  The boys woke us up at 7:00 am and all of the presents were opened by 7:40.  Later in the day we went to my parents house for Christmas dinner.

Benny and his hamster cage.  Santa brought the gear but not the actual pet!

And everyone needs a new Airsoft gun for Christmas!
Yes, guns on Christmas...

Or some Stella perfume - thanks honey!

And George got the iPad.  I have not touched it yet!

George's other gifts were related to alcohol!
Ho, ho, ho and a bottle of  rum!

We did not take many pictures at my parents house.
Here is one at dessert.

Christmas Eve

My in-laws celebrated Christmas Eve with us.  That has been our tradition now for several years.  This  year I did Italian food and we had chicken cutlets, lasagna, caesar salad, and garlic rolls.

Grammy, Grampy and Aunt Stacy were once again way too generous with the presents.  Here are some pictures:

Aunt Stacy and Benny.

Nice family photo of the group!

Grampy and Aunt Stacy were troopers with the Mousetrap Game.
George and I would have given up!

George needed a nap.  (We did not stage this!)

The way too delicate and overly complex game!  God bless Grampy and Aunt Stacy!

Holiday Happenings

It has been busy here at the Snow household.  We did our Christmas shopping last weekend.  My parents took the kids for the night and George and I shopped for 6 hours.  And we stopped for a bite to eat and a drink.

George also played Santa at his school.  He knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake!

The kids had their holiday concert.  They dressed up for the event and wore their collared shirts (and looked so handsome!).

Shopping makes you thirsty!

And in need of a beer!
He is so jolly!

Construction - Gingerbread Houses!

The boys put together their gingerbread houses last week.  I think they are way more interested in eating the candy and frosting than building the house.  Here are some pictures:

Benny is doing the wave while building his house!

Jacob is a cool customer.

Happy!

And after that hard work you need to relax with a good book and your dog!

Holiday Party

We had our annual holiday party last weekend.  We first started having this party in 1996 when we lived in Stratham.  We have hosted our party for over 10 years now and have only missed two years - once due to having no power during the ice storm and back in December 2002 when we moved to Nottingham a week before Christmas (and I was 8.5 months pregnant!).

Over 50 people showed up to celebrate the holidays with us!  And the kegerator even got moved upstairs for the special event.

Made me Cry!

Last night we were at my parent's house celebrating a late Thanksgiving.  At dinner, Jacob remarked that he got many of his "tastes" from his family.  He then listed some examples - coffee ice cream from great-grandma,  chocolate milk from grandpa and sports from dad.  I asked what he got from me and then Benny chimed in and said "kindness."  I started crying.  What a sweet thing for that kid to say.  And unexpected too given the rough and tumble nature of Ben!  Then Jacob, not wanting to be outdone by his brother, said that I gave him "a positive attitude".  Wow - so much to be thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We went up to Vermont for Thanksgiving this year.  Mr. Cook hosted and we enjoyed a great meal at his house.  Everyone pitched in - with the cooking and the dish washing!  Aunt Stacy even started a new tradition and made a delicious green bean casserole.  Here are some pictures of the gang:

These two are not being as thankful as they should be!

Right before dessert.

Figuring out Grampy's new iPod and iTunes!

2nd 5K

Jacob ran in his second 5K road race today.  He took part in a race in Newfields, NH that was organized by Girls on the Run.  There were 534 registered races and 167 of the racers were young girls.  Jacob finished the race in 24:24 and averaged a 7:52 minute mile!  He finished 27th overall.  Here are some pictures:

Looking sharp!

Ready to go!
