A customer for Jacob's bird feeder.
Jacob wanted and got a bird feeder for his birthday. We put it up this winter - it is located right on our deck - and then waited for the flocks of birds to arrive. Sadly, we did not get any action and not a single bird visited our feeder. We would have even been happy to have a squirrel come by but for some reason they stayed away too.
So, this morning, as I was toasting my english muffin, I look out the window and there they are! Birds, birds and more birds. Black birds, brown birds and yellow birds. A small woodpecker even stopped by. Now, I just need to figure out when I should take the feeder down, as I don't want to attract any bears!

After waking up to more snow covering the ground, that we were just playing on the day before I was so frustrated. Will spring ever really get here??? I can't wait!
The birds keep coming. I really enjoy watching them which I believe is a tell-tale sign that I am getting old. I keep wondering what type of bird will come by next. Next year we'll need to expand and have several feeders to offer a real variety for our feathered friends.
Now all the kids need is a bb gun...fish in a barrel.
kidding of course
Not nice Uncle Colin - I want to keep the boys away from bb guns so they don't end up like Uncle Caleb. (ha,ha)

I love feeding the birds and they will keep coming back year afer year you know, they remember who was kind! I would love to really get into it, I have a feeling that will be my thing as an elderly person. Pretty funny/scary!
