February is a short month...

For the first time in several years, I did not post on the blog for an entire month.  A sign of the times I guess.

February was a busy month and a few things kept us busy:

The Super Bowl was a disappointment for our household.  The boys looked good for the game though:

Two of my college friends, Julie and Laura, turned 40.  (Well, one birthday was actually at the end of January.)  We got together to celebrate.

Benny turned 8 at the end of January and had a small "kid party" at the house.

The boys' ski lessons finished up last month too.  Benny is a terror coming down the mountain and Jacob was given the all-clear to snowboard using the chair lift.

Basketball was also in full swing.  Jacob had a great year and found his stride - especially on defense.  My sweet boy becomes aggressive on the court!  Jacob will work on his offense during the off-season as he plans to try out for the school team next year.

George coached Benny's 1st and 2nd grade team.  And believe it or not - I was the assistant coach.  The kids learned the basics under George's instruction and should be in good shape for next year.

George and I got away for a night and met the Shipman's in Boston to watch UNH hockey play Northeastern.  My sister-in-law Stacy joined us too!  We stayed at the 90 Hotel and enjoyed every minute.  Started with drinks and appetizers at the Beantown Pub, moved onto dinner at the Boston Beerworks and then has post-game drinks at the hotel's fancy bar!  The city got a few inches of snow while we were there and the view from our hotel was beautiful.
